with no end in sight…looks like all of June will be head
high plus!!! too risky fer a beach launch…used to gas it
in the past…but this old feeble body isn’t willing to risk
shoulder high or bigger anymore…

ran down to the harbor before first light…launched…
aaauh!!! no anxiety or fear…
brought the usual…metal…plastic ‘n’ bait rig…not
forgetting the most important tackle ”nectar of the gods”…
bounced a white scampi…tossed a knife jig (metric for
3 ½ oz thin metal jig like a megabait-dragonfly-etc)…
not much bait around…but…sabiki caught a 6” sardine…
pinned it on a bait rod ‘n’ sent it down…cracked a frosty
one ‘n’ relaxed…
live bait ‘n’ artificials are equally effective…the only
difference is…work!!! you bounce retrieve or jig or
cast retrieve…while live bait does all the work for you…
allowing you to relax ‘n’ sip nectar of the gods…
putted around in multiple depths until…slam-zing-kaboom!!!
the sardine gets clobbered!!! zoom!!! it makes a run…
then…nothing??? reeling up it was like a wet blanket…
sure sigh of a halibeast…
after a few runs to the bottom…finally gott’um to the
surface…set my beer down…gaffed’um…clipped’um…
hallelujah!!! there is a god…
as the game clipped butt dangled in the water…sure as the
sun will rise…barfarkle ‘n’ bifflewink showed up…
aaaaaagh!!! curses!!! the swine rat bastard sea dogs!!! i quickly
threw the butt on my lap before the lions could get a hold
of it ‘n’ flip me out of the yak!!!
oh well…finished my nectar of the gods ‘n’ paddled back
to the harbor at 10am…before the afternoon winds recked
a beautiful day on the water…
just keep laughin…cheers!!!
